Why Not?

After months of obsessing over reading numerous DIY blogs, I figured I would give it a shot.  I have zero hopes of gaining thousands of followers.  I would consider this more of an online furniture diary - maybe a shot at organizing my creative insanity.  I am in the midst of graduate school right now, so my time is rather limited. I constantly joke that if I win the lottery I'll drop out of school today and play with furniture the rest of my life.  I guess you have to play the lottery to win though, huh?


I figure for my first furniture post I'll start simple.  Building my own bookcase. HA! Who am I kidding?!  I know this will be a big project for little 'ol me. BUT, I've been hunting for a nice bookcase to refnish for about a month on Craigslist and have yet to find 'the perfect one.'  I know the whole key to Craigslist is patience, but with one week left of Christmas break its time to do it to it.  My adventure starts just as soon as I kick this bacterial infection.  Just a minor bump in the road!  With the help of rest, water, and an antibiotic cocktail I should be back in business by Friday.  Viva la bookcase!
